160 tables were sold to representatives from 40 countries. One of
the tables was sold to Dialog that represented LANSA. For this
occasion a special bulletin, a so-called Fall Bulletin 2001, was
made. It contained articles about the new series of US notes and all
the advantages of becoming a member of LANSA. The bulletin, or
newsletter if you like. was handed out from the table and at the
entrance. In that way LANSA got in touch with many potential
members.
The show was an overall success. Thus the president of LANSA is
able to welcome 13 new members of LANSA, dealers and collectors. It
shows that LANSA has an important mission and is attractive to many
friends of paper money. All 13 members signed at the show, but it is
most likely that the effect of being present at the show will bring
more new members to the family!
Papermoney 2001, as the show is
named, is interesting because of many things. First of all, it is a
chance to meet with other collectors, friends, etc. Second, it is a
way to have fun with your hobby and third, there is an outrageous
variety of all kinds of notes at all prices. As such, it is easy to
spend hours there. I can only recommend you to visit a show whenever
there is one near your place.
I consider the concept for taking part in the show a great way to
present LANSA to other collectors. So I think there are many good
reasons to go next year as well.
By the way, if you are in the neighborhood, another great show is
held by Sacha Berkovic in Vienna 3-4 times a year.
Bye for now, see you at a show somewhere in the world one
day.
Best Wishes,
Peter
P.S.
It happens quite often that I get a response to my platforms. That
is great and I am very happy about it. However, if you have the
possibility I prefer that you drop me an e-mail, as I get bunches of
letters and it takes quite a while to read and answer them.
