| Oriental Bank Corporation was established in 1842 in Bombay, India, under the name Bank of Western India. In 1845 the name was changed to Oriental Bank Corporation. In 1884, the bank reconstituted as the New Oriental Bank Corporation but closed in 1892. Oriental Bank Corporation was the first bank established in Hong Kong and the first to issue banknotes in HKG. | ||||
