-1- P.12 was designed and signed by Alphonse Mucha, the famous Czechoslovakian art nouveau artist. It features a vignette of a woman's head and two falcons on the front with another vignette of a man, woman and child on the back. It is signed on both sides. P.12x is the "Meczarosz Counterfeit". It is reported to have been done in 1919, which when discovered caused the original issue to be eventually withdraw. As a result it is considered rare. The Meczarosz Counterfeir is also quite scarce. |
