Why create or join any organization or association? Most members find that their numismatic goals and enjoyment can be best fulfilled by joining a group of like minded people.

LANSA was started by Life Member #1, Yasha Beresiner  of InterCol London for exactly that reason in 1973. And now almost 4 decades later, in light of monumental changes in the world, those same reasons still apply.

However, for an organization to remain relevant its members must contribute in their own special ways to keep the organization vital. In addition, those charged with running LANSA must also continue to provide organizational direction, as well as devote effort to recruiting new members who can bring ideas that appeal to the membership.

We have just embarked on a redesign of the LANSA website in order to bring new life to our association. We encourage members to share their knowledge and experience for others to enjoy and learn.

We especially hope members will help to develop young Latin American numismatists as they are the future of LANSA. Your communications and ideas are always welcome.
