The public will take notice that beginning April 28th, 1999, a
new ten (10) Uruguayan Peso note will be placed into circulation.
This note is in homage to Dr. Eduardo Acevedo Vazquez. It will keep
the features of the "Harmonic Series" banknotes. |

Agronomy. |
COLOR: multicolored, light blue and pink
predominating. |

The present banknotes of N$10,000 (1984) and $10.- (1995)
(plaza of Democracy, Monument to the Flag) will circulate in
conjunction with the new banknotes until their retirement is
completed. |
